On the Green Golf Tournament

Join UREC for our annual golf tournament to raise money for our students.

Each year, University Recreation holds the On the Green Golf tournament to raise money for our Student Professional Development Fund, as well as the PJ Briggs Scholarship. The On the Green Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, April 28th, 2023 10:00 AM at the Tradition Golf Club. 


The tournament is a Four-Person Team Scramble (captain's choice). 


Registration will be limited to the first 30 Teams (120 golfers). Please register early. Any incomplete teams will be paired with other golfers to form complete teams.

UNC Charlotte University Recreation On the Green Golf Tournament is open to everyone. Students, Faculty/Staff, Alumni, and Community are encouraged to participate.

There will be numerous hole contests (longest drive, closest-to-the-pin, etc.) as well as random drawings for door prizes.

Each player must register and pay individually. 

Only teams of four will be eligible to win the championship trophy 

  • UNC Charlotte current student rate: $60
  • Individual Rate: $85

    On the Green! Mulligans & Raffle: 

    Each golfer may buy up to 2 mulligans. A mulligan will allow the player who purchases it ONE do over. Each mulligan includes an entry into a raffle drawing for prizes including gift certificates and golf equipment. Buy additional raffle tickets for $5 each. BEST VALUE - $20 for 2 Mulligans and 6 raffle tickets. Must be present at time of drawing to win. 

    All contest and raffle proceeds benefit the PJ Briggs Scholarship and the University Recreation Student Development Fund. 

    All cancellations and refund requests must be made 15 days or more prior to the scheduled event date. Requests must be made in writing and mailed, faxed, or emailed directly to University Recreation. Refund requests made within 15 days of the event will not be honored unless there is a documented health issue or unforeseen circumstance that arises. Refunds will not be granted for no-shows.
