This class style is designed to provide participants an immersive culinary and nutrition experience that positively impacts food choices, kitchen confidence, and wellness.

Our private teaching kitchen options are intended to give small private groups a chance to learn in the demonstration kitchen together. See options detailed at the bottom of the page.

March 2024

Description: Think of the classic Rice Krispies treats you know and love, but with pieces of Lucky Charms added into the mix. The best thing about these bars? All you need are four ingredients to create them. If you’re looking for an easy dessert, you can’t get much simpler than this.

Description: If you want to reduce your use of plastic wrap and bags, beeswax wraps are a great way to cover and protect food. Create flexible wraps that have enough tack to cling to containers and themselves. Highlighting beeswax from our own campus beehives!

Description: A delicious addictive “Bunny Bait” snack mix that is perfect for springtime! This crunchy snack mix is filled with cereal, pretzels, M&M’s, and coated in melted white chocolate. No baking required!

Private Teaching Kitchen Events

Contact & Request

The UREC Demo Kitchen is the primary location for Teaching Kitchen Events. Please contact Maggie Sullivan (Maggie.sullivan@compass-usa.com), Campus Dietitian, to schedule your event. In your email, include the date of your event and your choice of events from the options below. 

Limitations & Deadlines

The demo kitchen allows for a max of 15 attendees. For parties over 15 people, prices and location may vary. Payment is due 15 days after the event occurs. To ensure sufficient planning time, groups must schedule events two weeks in advance of their desired event date.
