Virtual supervision presents innumerable challenges especially those focused on employee motivation. This presentation presents tips and tricks for modifying your leadership style to motivate employees and inspire teamwork from a distance. Let My People Play Golf is more than just a motto it is a philosophy that pushes leaders to change their mindset and realize sometimes we have to purposefully facilitate leisure during the work day.

Description: The QPR mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training. The signs of crisis are all around us. We believe that quality education empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. QPR is the most widely taught Gatekeeper training in the world.

Description: This will be a panel presentation and will explore the topics of relationships, mentoring, and student development and provide insight into the relationships and mentors that shaped their careers and explore how they have given back to the profession by mentoring others. Panelists will be asked a variety of questions about their own personal experience with being mentored and what it meant to them, their theories and approaches to mentoring as professionals, the nature of mentoring relationships, having tough conversations, and providing safe space and support in those relationships. This session is designed for both students and professionals and will be a fun and interactive presentation that will highlight one of the true hallmarks of NIRSA - that of caring professionals and student development at its finest.

Although a commonality in many industries, working remotely has been a stranger to higher education. COVID-19 thrust higher education into remote working without a lot of preparation. In this session, you will learn about strategies and systems to maximize your productivity and happiness while working and leading from afar.
