Equipment Orientations are intended to give patrons a stronger understanding of using equipment effectively in the gym. Often to orientation will be focused on a specific type of workout and the machines that will target specific muscle groups.

Frequency: 2-3/ per month

WK Overview

Workshops are intended to give patrons a stronger understanding of a specific type of lift, including technique, tips, proper use of equipment, etc. Often the workshops will be paired with a monthly challenge offered related to the workshop.

WK Format

Location: most often meets on 1st Floor
Frequency: 2-3/ per month

CH Overview

Fitness Challenges are intended to give patrons an opportunity to execute a lift or another fitness technique in a small group and motivational environment. Often the challenges will be paired with a monthly workshop offered related to the challenge.

CH Format

Location: most often meets on the 1st Floor
Frequency: 1-2/ per month

SM Overview

Small group fitness classes are intended for more focused instruction with groups of 8-10 participants. These classes usually include equipment particular to the class that is all provided by UREC.

SM Format

SP Overview

Specialty Classes are instructional and progressive fitness classes that focus on specialized skill sets and often include opportunities for individual feedback and instruction. The classes are usually 10-20 participants.
