
Our Certified Personal Trainers are here to assist you in reaching your fitness goals! UREC's Personal Trainers will create an exercise plan that is unique to your needs and abilities. Our goal is to help motivate, lead, and inspire you to be able to have the confidence and self-efficacy to eventually exercise independently. We offer a variety of packages to accommodate your needs, as well as your budget!
You must have one of the following to hire a Personal Trainer:
- Be a current UNC Charlotte student (enrolled in a minimum of 3 credits per semester)
- Faculty/Staff with a Membership
- A guest pass for each visit (Must be sponsored by a member unless Faculty/Staff and Alumni).
The Personal Training Program is accepting new clients. Waitlists may be enacted at various times in the semester due to high demand, we appreciate your patience during this time.
A valid UREC membership is required to use the Personal Training service.

NOTE: All new clients must start with our Intro Package, which includes an initial consultation, InBody Composition Scan, Fitness Assessment, and two sessions.
Steps To Sign Up
Step 1: Complete the Personal Training form.
Step 2: Complete the Personal Training Registration Packet through DSE, sent to you once you complete the interest form.
Step 3: Client will be assigned to a Personal Trainer.
Step 4: Client will be emailed instructions on how to pay for session via DSE, or in-person at UREC's Welcome Desk.
Step 5: Client and Trainer will set up time to meet for initial assessment.

Student: $88
*Student Partner: $44/ person
Member: $108
*Member Partner: $54/ person
*Partner Training is available for two clients that sign up together. It is recommended that you and your partner share similar fitness goals and have similar fitness levels.
Written Plans are designed for individuals who know how to exercise with proper form, if you need more of a learning period we recommend you start with an Intro Package prior to purchasing a Written Plan.

Payments
Payment instructions will be sent to you once your Personal Training Packet has been completed and returned.
Refund Policy
Refunds will not be given unless there is a documented health issue or unforeseen circumstance that arises.
No Show Policy
If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of your scheduled session, with no previous communication to the trainer or UREC, the session will count toward your purchased package due to the use of the trainer's time. You must cancel your session at least 24 hours in advance for it to not count against your purchased package.
