Eligibility: Parking passes are only available to members who are not affiliated with the University. Eligible individuals include alumni, plus ones, spouse/partners, and dependents. Individuals who have an active Charlotte email address and an active 800/801 number with the University are not eligible to purchase a parking pass.

Approval Time: Parking pass purchases may take 72 hours to approve. Until the pass has been approved, members are responsible for paying for daily parking.

Parking Location: Parking passes are only valid in the Union Deck. We will not validate parking in any other campus lots or decks.

Parking Pass Expiration: Parking passes will automatically expire when the associated membership expires.

• Example 1: If a member purchases a Fall Semester membership and parking pass, both will expire at the end of the Fall Semester. If they renew for the Spring Semester, they will need to purchase a new parking pass with their new membership.
• Example 2: If a member purchases an annual membership and parking pass, the parking pass will remain valid for the full annual membership period and expire when the annual membership expires.

Membership and access to UREC facilities are revocable licenses and UREC reserves the right to revoke any membership or facility access for conduct UREC determines to be improper or for failure to comply with UREC policies, rules, regulations, or other reasonable instructions or directions provided by UREC staff. 

Memberships purchased with payroll deduction can be canceled at any time. Membership cancellation is effective upon receipt of request to UREC. Cancellation of payroll deductions made within 6 days of the pay date will be effective on the next paycheck

• Example 1: Cancellation request made on January 16th will cancel payroll deduction for February 1st paycheck
• Example 2: Cancellation request made on January 29th will cancel payroll deduction for February 15th paycheck

Steps to cancel via payroll deduction:

1. Email the UREC Member Services Office (urec-memberships@charlotte.edu) stating that you wish to cancel your membership and/or payroll withholding. 
2. Once the email is received, UREC will coordinate necessary steps to cancel payroll deduction or review official medical documentation for non payroll deduction cancellations to determine appropriate action.

Memberships paid for in full via cash, check or credit/debit card are non-refundable and non-transferable. All sales are final. Parking passes are not refundable. The following extenuating circumstances will be considered for refunds: 

• Injury/Illness (official documentation will be required)

Day Pass Eligibility

• Must be eligible for a University Recreation membership
• Must present a valid, government-issued photo ID
• Add-On members (Spouse / Partner / Dependents / Plus One) are not eligible for Day Passes

Guest Pass Eligibility

• Can be purchased by any individual with an active University Recreation membership (limited to 2 guest passes per day, per sponsor)
• Must present a valid, government-issued photo ID
• Must be 18+ years of age or older (dependent Add-Ons that are age 17 & Under are not eligible to sponsor a guest.
• Guests are not eligible switch sponsors.

Guest & Day Pass fees must be paid at the time of sale before entering the facility. No Refunds will be granted once the Day or Guest Pass holder has entered the facility.

Guest & Day Passes provide access to UREC, Belk Gymnasium, and/or Northeast Recreational Field Complex (NRFC). Sponsors of Guest Pass holders must accompany their guests at all times, including entry, front desk check-in, front desk check-out, and exit. 

Day pass holders, sponsors, and guests are responsible for awareness of all University Recreation guidelines (openly accessible on our About Us page).

Participation in recreational activities at UNC Charlotte is voluntary and at the risk of the participant.

Individuals are not permitted to solicit sponsors. Sponsors will be asked if they are willing to bear responsibility for the actions of their guest before Guest Pass sale is completed.
